Cybercom acquired Consafe Infotech in 2003 to build one of the Nordic countries’ largest consultancies for supporting the telecom sector.
The merged companies gain increased geographic coverage and a stronger customer offering. The groundwork was laid for continued profitable growth.
Consafe Infotech is a profitable, well-run company that is very similar to Cybercom. Consafe Infotech and Cybercom worked together on several projects for AstraZeneca and Sony Ericsson, among others.
“Consafe Infotech has strongholds in southern Sweden and Norway. So geographically, it complements us well,” says Mats Alders, president and CEO of the Cybercom Group. “We also complement each other well when it comes to offerings.”
Size is critical when it comes to meeting customers’ needs. Strategic partnerships increasingly require that consultancies deliver volume in the form of larger projects.
Consafe Infotech develops telecom and datacom solutions for participants in the telecom industry, and it integrates business solutions for large companies and organisations. Thanks to the Consafe Infotech acquisition, Cybercom will be well positioned within mobile telephony and will be an attractive supplier for telecom companies such as Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, and TeliaSonera. The merged company also gains a stronger base for continued international growth.
